Trafford YFC is celebrating it's 30th year, and to mark the occasion, we are running a number of fundraising events.
On 30th May 2011, 3 intrepid explorers braved the rain and the tarmac to walk the 30 mile border around Trafford in order to raise money for Trafford YFC.
Dave and Darren were joined by Stephen, a local volunteer invested in seeing the work of Trafford YFC continue for many years to come, and together they took just 12 hours to walk the boundary.
All this was to raise money for the centre and to celebrate the 30 years of ministry the centre has completed in Trafford. It was in no way an easy challenge, the weather was against them and by the 25th mile all three were struggling to keep going. But, they were desperate to see Jesus being shared with the young people in Trafford and that spurred them on to the finish line.
Together they have raised over £2000 which will allow the centre to continue reaching young people with the Good News of Christ. As a centre, we would like to say a huge thank you to those of you who have sponsored the guys and also a massive thank you to the guys themselves for being willing to put themselves through such a challenge all in aid of furthering the Kingdom.
We are aiming to raise at least £3,030.30 from these events. If you have raised money for TYFC and wish to send it by card, or you wish to sponsor the team on their 30 mile walk you can give at
